  Don Hogan has been playing guitar for close to 35 years . His Dad got him started with a guitar from an Asheville pawn shop . He also introduced Don to bluegrass music and the style of playing he enjoys today . Players like Doc and Merle Watson , Norman Blake , Tony Rice , Kenny Smith (and the list goes on and on) , have been big influences . He has played in several bands over the years. “THE DELTABILLIES” , being the last , was an Asheville, NC. based band . It ran for 5 years playing as the house band for The Cabin Restaurant in Weaverville , NC. The Billies also performed for The Asheville Civic Center and several resorts , festivals , and street fairs thru out the western part of the state. He has also worked locally for Judges’ Riverside , Parkside ,and Boardwalk Grill. In Beech Mtn. at Ganders Pub and Rascals Pub .When not playing with the band , he currently does solo work for The Grove Park Inn in Asheville , NC . 



  Tony Williamson started playing banjo at age 9 and by age 12 he was already in a working band competing in festivals around the country. By age 15 he won his first of many banjo competitions at the Randall Collins Festival . As a teenager , Tony played in several Gospel groups which helped him develop a talent for guitar and vocals as well .Later, he started playing and helped form the well known group Ages Past which continued to win several contests in the Pizza Hut International Showdown . This lead to placing 4th at SPGMA in Nashville and 1st place in the Asheville , NC. Folk Festival . Tony has a wide variety of influences like Bela Fleck, Courtney Johnson, Bill Keith and even Eddie Van Halen.,,Yup ,he can tare up an electric guitar too . He also plays pedal steele , bass guitar ,and acoustic guitar . Just about anything with strings on it . Did I forget to mention piano ?

   Joseph Hasty has had extensive performing experience in many styles of music in a career which has carried him to stages in America, Australia and Europe - where he lived for seven years. He studied jazz chord theory and completed course work at
The School of Contemporary Music in Zurich, Switzerland in 1991.
A school teacher at Freedom High School, Joseph plays Double bass and Guitar in several different ensembles and has performed locally with groups such as "Musica Nostra", "Bob Sinclair and Victrola Club" and his own jazz band "Centerpiece


          



   Pete Wallace is the newest member of the band . A long time friend of our bass player Joe . In his younger days , Pete  traveled all over Europe with Joe playing music to pay his way into many adventures . More recently he has been in bands around the Hickory , NC area . I hope he enjoys playing Mandolin and singing for "Drive South" for years to come . He has an outstanding voice and is a library of songs we have just begun to tap into .
